Psychological therapy is available for anyone who wishes to discuss a personal concern or difficulty, regardless of its content. It is an opportunity to talk, in confidence, with someone who is impartial but who has an understanding of the complexities of life.

Mindfulness work is different from traditional therapy.  It aims to cultivate a way of being that focuses on gradually developing an open, alert and aware involvement in the present moment, on using one's self as a means of dealing with life and what can come with it, and on lodging a sense of control over how one deals with life, for whatever is happening at a given moment.

Over the past few decades, the practice of mindfulness has been integrated into medical and psychological arenas due to its beneficial effects in many areas such as stress reduction, chronic pain, psoriasis, mental health distress, substance misuse, depression and anxiety.

Mindfulness training does not claim to be a cure for any condition, but it has been found to improve how one deals with the condition, and to influence one’s approach to life..
